hi! spring has suddenly come out in full force and its been pretty damn hot! ok fine the temp is about 20 degrees celsius but you know the aussie sun is so strong :/ which probably explains the lethargic feeling iv been getting.

anw yesterday afternoon, because it was sweltering hot, we decided at the last moment to head to cottlesloe beach! my first aussie beach/sea experience :) and my oh my.

the sea is awesome! the waves are so huge, like twice my height, and they're killer! we stood near the shore, at knee length water and we were trying to jump the waves. the water was so cold and the waves were so strong, my bikini was flying all over. but i didn't really care :P

and surprise surprise, i nearly drowned. :/ i jumped this wave and it was so strong that even under water, everything came at my face and water was going up my nose and i stood up, thinking the wave had passed, when i realised the wave had collided with another one and it was towering above me still! :S so people with no real beach experience should take caution.
:/ there were several times, i chickened out at the sight of the incoming waves. holy cow, they were seriously so huge that i ran for the shore, only to get washed up.

i can't wait to go during summer when it's hotter! i just don't wanna get eaten by sharks. in summer, the lifeguards put up these red flags and people swim in between them for safety cus the guards only watch over that area.
