hello everyone! greetings from down under! :) it's day 4 now in cold, wintry perth and i'm alive and kicking y'all! life has been pretty good, the weather's tolerable. i like it cold cus i get to wear nice clothes and i actually BOTHER TO :D
oh and one thing i like about this place a lot, is the fact that everything is so dry and clean that you can roll about on the grass and stare at the endless sky :) seriously, i wouldn't have seen this much sky if i hadn't come here. yesterday darling's mom hollered from downstairs to tell me about the rainbow outside figuring i wouldn't have had seen such a nice one before. boy, was it huge and, the colours were so defined that i had to run out with my holga!
so i'll just make a quick run through of my adventure thus far.
- on the plane ride, an air steward kept talking to me and eventually invited me to go to the back cabin. i know this is gross, and i'm not trying to say anything but to make light of how unprofessional and horrid SIA has become. they made a couple of announcements during the flight and i could barely understand them! o.O the food wasn't that good either. roaaar!
- sharing a room with darling's sister has been fine! i've settled and packed everything already. got myself familiarized with the kitchen and stuff. (plus the mother caught my bed unmade this morning, reminded me to clean the water around the toilet basin when im done .. oops :/ ) everynight, i trudge around in my blue winnie the pooh jammies that darling's mom got me, as well as my furry ugg boots- it's nice and comfy! wootwoot.
- 
on day 2, we played paintball! it was 18 of us in all, they're all darling's meddent friends. i like two of them- simon and karen. simon is a greek migrant while karen is chinese asian. the referees made me and darling go on separate teams, boo hoo! :/ we were given pathetic overalls that were so huge i tripped over myself heaps. they were so damn useless! it's as though they just wanna keep us clean during paintball whereas it's ok to have a gazillion bruises. man, PAINTBALL WAS HORRIFYING. okay it really was. IT HURTS SO BLOODY MUCH. at first i was all gungho and like, 'EVERYBODYY CHARRRRGEEEE!' and before i even took ten steps, it was 'BANG! BANG BANG! ... THUD!' ow. ow. ow. yeah, i took to hiding behind wheel tires, barrels and jumping low into trenches! brutal, the game was just brutal. it was like WAR. and during one game, guess what? i became BAIT. bloody !@##$%%^&&* there i was minding my own business behind a deceivingly safe row of barrels when the ref yelled out, 'LAST MAN!' i turned around and holy crap, my team mates were all dead and gone. I WAS THE LAST MAN STANDING (ok crouching). hah! and guess who killed me? MATTHEW ONG SHI QUAN shot me in the FINGERS. how lucky can one get. ahh but ohwells. darling got two huge red bruises on his neck that hurt so bad. oh and not to mention, the gun was so heavy i have biceps the size of tennis balls and battle scars to boot.
- as for finally watching the da vinci code, it was such a let down and a complete joke! phooey.
- on day 3, i did YOGA folks. :O i'm the yogi master whoohoo! aye man, i was in the ADVANCED class. it was kinda interesting. was all quiet and everybody had their mat and equipment. i just kinda did my best to imitate the poses, i must say i deserve a trophy for my commendable effort. :D
- TODAY ROCKED. i finally felt like, i'm not in this alien place that's all shrubbery and no trace of civillisation. we met up with qiaolin and lionel in the city for lunch and they took us to subiaco! well the locals call it subi, kinda cute right? god, BUILDINGS, PEOPLE, SHOPS, CARS! LIFE! SALVATION! whoohoo! heh subi is a nice place. we went to COLD ROCK which is this beyond awesome ice cream place. you can choose 4 flavours of icecream and any topping you want, and they'll place everything on a frozen slab and mix em up! i had choc mint, choc gelato, cookies n cream for ice cream and nerds and m&ms for topping! delisshhhhhh :) yeah and we walked past taffy's and tried peanut butter chocolate too! whoaho, when i come back, i'm gonna get you guys yummy stuffs from there. i had fun hanging today really! and later me and darling headed to king's park to check the whispering wall out. dude, it was amazing. haha, the wonders of science. it's actually a very long curved wall and we sat on the extreme ends and whispered. it actually worked hey! we then just laid around on the grass and played charades. very VERY LOVELY DAY indeed. not to mention darling got me cute gloves.
- well, i'm supp to be doing my UMAT practice but i'm lazy :/ darling's out at volleyball training now phooey.
so that's the highlights of the past 4 days. i really cannot wait to begin uni and make friends! familiarize myself with everything and to feel like i belong. so many things to do! get a job, start sch and read my english books, take UMAT test, get driving license and what have you.
darling's been absolutely wonderful :) it's been a blast living together and i predict we will have so much more fun in the future when we finally have common experiences! :D

yiqing, thanks for coming all the way down and even tho as usual NADZ stood us up for millionth time, i was glad u were there! it was really nice hanging with you the day before .. shit i laughed so hard my god. it's amazing how we can crack each other up despite that one year of you in NZ and us not meeting up for ages. seriously, it rocks my holey moley socks. it's like i'll be all quiet and kinda tame and the moment we meet, boom! the crap comes out like no tomorrow :/ hahahaaa aye cheers to the wood peckers and study hard ok! eyes on the prize, seeya in perth in two years with edwin!
